The Golden Retriever

Top o the morning to ya! Hmmm... I think I used that same greeting on the last blog post. Lemme check. Yep, sure did. Well, you're stuck with me and I'm not feeling a more creative greeting this morning. So there.
So, what breed is my little Crackers, ya might ask? In fact, it's a common question I recieve when walking her or taking her out in public. People always love the way she looks and her sweet personality. I tell them she's one of a kind. She's a golden retriever.
Did you really believe that? I didn't think so. I tell them she's a pound puppy - a "heinz 57" if you will. She was turned into the pound for digging. Her name was Gorda. Ugh. Puke. Barf. Spanish for fat one. And the way she eats + plus her battle with the bulge, it's no surprise. Why do you think her name is Crackers? Because the day I took her down to my old apartment office to pay her deposit, she jumped up on the desk and ate a whole plate of saltines before anyone could stop her.
Anywho, she was officially turned into pound as an "English Shepard Mix." An English Shepard IS an Australian Spehard + Border Collie. And I do believe she is both those. My other biggest belief is that she is part Beagle. Beyond that I have been commonly asked if she is a Bernese Mountain Dog. Who knows? I don't. And I don't care. She's my little black dog and she stole my heart.

Okay, enough history about my favorite puppers. Now, what you have really been waiting for. The WINNERS from my little giveaway.
  1. Jenni Hire - because she IDed all 3 breeds I believe my mutt is "for sure."
  2. T - because my FIL calls her a "potlicker"
  3. Julie Kolde - because Heinz 57 is one of my standard answers

Ladies, you can email me your mailing address to hagermanblue "at" yahoo "dot" com. I will get your goodies out to you ASAP - you may want to use them in your ECWL albums... who knows?

Anything else you would like to know about my little furbaby?
